Media operations team formed for Asian Athletics Championships |

| An operations team for the Venue Media Centre of the 18th Asian Athletics Championships (AAC) was formed in Guangzhou on Tuesday (Oct 13) at the multicrystalline solar cells Coordination and Mobilisation Meeting for Media Operations of the event. The 18th AAC will be held in the Main Stadium at Guangdong Olympic Sports Centre from November 10 to 14, 2009. About 800 athletes, 200 team officials and judges from 40 Asian countries and Kitchen Linen regions will attend the event, which will be covered by over 120 Chinese and overseas reporters. The Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (GAGOC) expects the 18th AAC will be a model for future test events for the 2010 Asian Games and provide experience for hosting major events. The operations team for the Venue Media Centre of the 18th AAC is comprised of more than 30 people from the Broadcasting & Media Services Department and Games Communication & Promotion Department of GAGOC, Publicity Department of the CPC Tianhe District Committee and Guangdong Olympic Sports Centre. Ren Tianhua, Vice Director of the Broadcasting & Media Services Department of GAGOC, encouraged the team to serve the event in accordance with international standards and gain experience from the project. |
